AI voice search (beta)
What is AI voice search?
It sets the filters for you without any clicking: you say what you are looking for, we turn your words into search criteria and show the matching listings. It works on the website and in the mobile app, also without signing in. The feature is in beta, so it can get things wrong now and then.
How do I start a voice search?
Click the microphone icon in the search field and speak naturally, in full sentences. The recording ends by itself once you stop talking — after a minute at the latest — and you can also stop it manually. A moment later the filters are set for you.
What can I say?
One sentence with several criteria works best, e.g. "estate under 100k, diesel, from 2018" or "Audi A3 automatic near Poznań". We recognise the make and model, price, year, mileage, body type, fuel, gearbox and location, among others. You can also say "near me" — that one needs access to your device location.
What if the filters came out wrong?
After the recording you can see which filters were set. If one of them does not match what you said, correct it by hand as usual, or record again — shorter and more specific. And if the recording yields no criteria at all, we say so, show you what we heard, and leave your filters untouched. See also Search and filters.
The microphone does not work — what now?
Recording needs microphone permission. If it was denied, change it in your browser settings (the icon next to the page address) or in your phone settings for the Motoco app, then try again. Older browsers may not support recording at all — the regular filters are still there. A message about too many recordings means a temporary limit; just wait a moment.
What happens to my recording?
The recording goes to a speech recognition service for the sole purpose of turning it into text, which is what the filters are derived from. We do not store it in the service or tie it to your account, and the recognised text is used only to prepare your search results.
